Embroidery and embellishment work on the blouse and lehenga border is common across this category, echoing the same Maggam and Aari techniques used in our Designer Blouse line, since the two categories often share the same embroidery workshop output. Skirt volume and layering vary by design — some are simpler single-layer flared skirts for a lighter festive look, others are fuller, layered cuts suited to bridal wear specifically.

Ordering for Wedding Season

Because a lehenga set is a bigger single purchase than a blouse or saree, resellers stocking this category are often working directly with customers on a specific event date, and dispatch timing matters more than usual. Orders still ship within our standard 2–5 business day window, but we'd recommend factoring in delivery time when a customer has a fixed wedding or event date — order early rather than close to the date. With no minimum order quantity, you can order a single set to check embroidery quality, fit, and skirt volume before offering it more broadly to bridal customers.

Choosing the Right Lehenga for the Occasion

Heavier, fully layered lehengas with dense embroidery are typically reserved for the bride or very close family at a wedding, while lighter single-layer or moderately embellished sets suit guests and festive functions like sangeet or mehendi where comfort and mobility matter more than maximum volume. When resellers ask us for guidance, we generally point bridal-specific customers toward richer colour palettes (maroon, red, wine, deep green) and guest-focused customers toward lighter pastel or jewel-tone options that photograph well without overpowering a smaller event.

Skirt volume affects both look and practicality — a fuller, more layered lehenga creates more dramatic movement for photos and dancing but is heavier to wear through a long event, so it's worth asking customers how many hours they expect to be in the outfit before recommending the heaviest option in stock.

Fit and Alterations

Lehenga skirts are typically adjustable at the waist through a drawstring or elastic panel, giving some flexibility without tailoring, while the choli blouse is the component most likely to need local alteration for a precise fit — the same as with our standalone blouse categories. We'd recommend advising customers to budget time for a local tailoring check on the blouse specifically, even when the lehenga skirt itself fits as shipped.
